1) Entries: Fees for all levels: $180 ($170 with OD postmark). All applicable USEF/USEA fees (see 2008
entry form). Entrant must provide USEF and/or USEA member and horse registration cards and numbers.
All mandatory signature lines must be signed with original signatures. Entrant must use 2008 USEA entry form.
All entries include a coupon to Welcome Reception on Friday evening. Draw Checks to: Somerset Farms. The $180 entry fee includes a $25 non-refundable office fee. Double entries: Accepted. No more than 2 rides permitted.
All BN competitors who are not USEA members must pay extra $25 with entry. Refunds: Before CD – less $25 non-refundable office fee; After C.D $35 ONLY if place can be filled from waiting list or a veterinary certification.
Otherwise no refund. Please notify organizer by email or phone. Competition cancellation – No refund.
Proof of Neg. coggins within 12 months and Health Certificate required for out-of-state horses only.
2) Tentative Time Schedule:
Fri: Cross-country course open 3 PM. Welcome reception at Silo Farms 6 PM.
Sat: Dressage – 7:45 AM; Show jumping – 1 PM, Somerset Farms; Competitor Party -6:30 PM, Silo
Sun: Cross country – 8 AM at Silo Farms
3) AWARDS: Ribbons to 6th place. Awards. Best in show OAJ
4) STARTING TIMES: No later than July 19th. Check website www.msea-usea.org for ride times or send SASE with entry.
5) STABLING/VETERINARIAN: Onsite stabling available at Somerset Farms. $130 for Fri am to Sun pm. First 2 bags of shavings included. Additional shavings available for purchase. Veterinarian: On site during competition only. Number will be posted in show office. Farrier’s hours posted on grounds during show, otherwise on call.
6) ACCOMMODATIONS: Radisson -303-776-2000; Holiday Inn Express -303-684-0404; Courtyard Marriott – 303-682-1166; Hampton Inn – 303-772-2554; Super 8 Motel -303-772-0888. All within 5-10 miles of facility.
7) DIRECTIONS: From I-25 take the Longmont exit for Hwy 119. West on Hwy 119 to Nelson Rd. At signal turn right on Nelson Rd to Somerset Farms, 5555 Nelson Rd., Longmont, CO 80501. Silo Farms (X-C) : above directions, turn left (south) on 63rd St., one mile to Silo Farms, 9087 N. 63rd St., Longmont, CO 80501.
8) DRESSAGE: Test and Arena sizes: OP-2006 USEF Preliminary Test B-Sm;
OT -2006 USEF Training Test B-Sm; ON-2006 USEF Novice Test B-Sm; OBN-2006 USEF Beginner Novice Test B-Sm. Arena: Crushed granite/rubber footing.
9)Cross-Country: P-2200 m @520 mpm; T-2000m @420 mpm; N-1600 m @mpm; BN- 1400 m @ 300 mpm. Terrain is native grass, rolling hills, water on course for all divisions. Complexity consistent with level of competition.
10) OTHER INFORMATION: Cross-country course closed from June 25 to July 25th. Official cross-country walk Friday July 25th , 5 PM. Levels may be divided/combined if entries warrant; state preferences under Eligible Section and birth date on entry. If experience level not completed, higher will be assumed. Concessions on Grounds. Dogs MUST be leashed; $50 fine will be assessed to owners of unleashed or troublesome dogs. Money to go to Longmont Humane Society. USEA Medical card/armband must be worn; limited supply for sale on grounds.
